Why Samvid Law Chambers

The right counsel for a decision this personal

A divorce is rarely just a legal proceeding — it is a decision about children, finances, dignity and years of life. Our matrimonial practice combines courtroom sharpness with the calm and discretion this area of law demands. We advise clearly, negotiate seriously, and litigate hard only when it protects your position.

Mutual Consent Divorce

End-to-end handling under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act — first and second motion, settlement drafting, 6-month waiver applications where the facts permit, and quick conclusion before the Family Court.

Contested Divorce

Petitions on cruelty, desertion, adultery, mental disorder and irretrievable breakdown grounds. Careful evidence-building, examination-in-chief and cross-examination by senior counsel who try their own matters.

Maintenance & Alimony

Interim maintenance under Section 24 HMA, permanent alimony under Section 25, and Section 125 CrPC / 144 BNSS petitions. Kusum Sharma income-affidavit compliance done rigorously — for claimants and respondents.

Child Custody & Guardianship

Custody petitions under the Guardians and Wards Act, visitation schedules, guardianship certificates, and inter-parental disputes. Welfare-of-the-child framing at every stage.

NRI Divorce Matters

Representing spouses based in the US, UK, Canada, UAE, Singapore and Australia. Power-of-attorney handling, video-conference hearings, exemption from personal appearance, mirror-order strategy and enforcement of foreign decrees.

Restitution, Annulment & Domestic Violence

Restitution of conjugal rights, decree of nullity under Section 11/12 HMA, and Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act petitions — offence-side and civil reliefs.

What Sets Us Apart

A matrimonial practice built on discretion and results

Boutique attention — your matter is handled by named senior counsel from consultation to decree, not passed down a chain.

Strict confidentiality — matrimonial disputes involve deeply personal facts; nothing you share leaves the chamber.

Settlement-first approach where it protects your interest — we do not manufacture litigation, and we can be trusted to advise you when a mutual consent divorce is genuinely the better route.

Trial-hardened litigation when settlement is not on the table — cross-examinations, income affidavits, and evidence are prepared to Delhi High Court standard.

Dedicated NRI desk — video-conferencing hearings, power-of-attorney filings, and coordinated handling of foreign decrees, mirror orders and passport / Section 10 caveats.

Written fee estimate before any engagement — no surprises, no per-visit padding.

In Our Clients' Words

Selected feedback from matrimonial clients

Client identities are protected in accordance with Bar Council of India rules and the sensitivity of matrimonial proceedings. Full reference conversations can be arranged on request after consultation.

Handled our matter with dignity from start to finish. The settlement was drafted so carefully that both sides walked away without any residual dispute. The 6-month waiver was granted at the first motion itself.
R.S. · Mutual Consent Divorce, Saket Family Court
I came in after two years of another lawyer getting nowhere. Within six months there was a maintenance order and a workable custody arrangement for my daughter. Straight advice, no false promises.
N.K. · Contested Divorce & Custody, Rohini Court
I did not have to travel to India even once. Everything — filings, video hearings, exemption applications — was handled through my power of attorney. Genuinely a boutique standard of service.
