How We Can Help

A possession suit is the right answer when someone refuses to give back property they should not be holding. The wrong filing — based on the wrong section, in the wrong forum — can cost years. We pick the right pleading on day one.

Two Routes to Possession

Section 6 of the Specific Relief Act allows a person dispossessed without consent to recover possession through a summary suit within six months — without going into title. A suit based on title under Article 65 of the Limitation Act lies for twelve years and is heard as a regular suit. We choose the right route based on when dispossession occurred and what evidence exists.

Possession Suits We Handle

Recovery from tenants whose tenancy has ended, recovery from licensees, ejectment of trespassers, recovery by legal heirs, recovery from family members in lawful denial of title, and recovery of property in part-performance with revocation of any agreement to sell.

Interim Protection

We seek status quo, injunction against alienation and third-party rights, and appointment of receivers where the property is income-generating. Without interim orders, a defendant can dissipate value during the pendency of the suit.
